HOW TO GET YOUR SCHOOL INVOLVED
WHAT IS OUR ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAM?
Our in school program is a game changer, setting our teens and the youth of the future up for success, with their future business, creation or idea.
annually we spotlight rising stars from the Illawarra, South Coast and beyond who have participated in our Entrepreneurial programs.
The Young Eyes Festival of Innovation, hosted by Zig Zag Hub.
The festival showcases the creative ideas of our local and upcoming entrepreneurial and innovative superstars in the Illawarra, South Coast and beyond. The festivals aims to ignite the passion of young people and help them have the best start to their entrepreneurial journey whilst having fun along the way!
Students can first join our Entrepreneurial program within their school. Once the program is completed, they can nominate themselves to enter the Young Eyes Festival of Innovation where they can progress to the ‘Shark Tank’ and present their business idea or concept to the judges.
Award categories for 2025:
• Young Entrepreneur of the Year – A product or service
• Young Innovator of the Year – A innovative concept or idea
• Young Global Advocator of the Year – An initiative designed to assist in the achievement of one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Zig Zag Hub has been successfully running Entrepreneurial programs in Illawarra schools for a number of years. Our passion lies in educating young people and giving them the skills they need to thrive in the ever changing business landscape. The core skills our students develop are: Design Thinking, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Digital Literacy, and Communication.
These skills are critical for students entering into an evolving job market that is constantly being disrupted by new technologies such as AI. Understanding how to leverage these skills with technology enables students to thrive and to become the next generation of job-creators.
The program allows students to plan and design initiatives to develop a possible product, service or innovative idea. Within the program, students go through the testing process of bringing their ideas to life whilst learning the basic concepts of a start-up business.
The program provides the students with the opportunity to ignite their passion for Entrepreneurship as well as growing their confidence in taking ownership of their ideas during the pitching stage.
